December 8, 2019 to January 5, 2020We are excited to introduce a new month-long winter lights festival at Assiniboine Park Zoo!Zoo Lights Festival presented by Red River Co-op will feature thousands of light installations to bring to life a magically illuminated fictional Manitoban winter town: Polar Town. More than just lights, Zoo Lights Festival presented by Red River Co-op will feature interactive experiences, entertainment, a Third + Bird market, and great food. Zoo Lights Festival is an after-hours event.POLAR TOWNPolar Town will include visits from Santa, fire pits, nightly entertainment, a Third + Bird market, and great food. Warm up at different locations like the Forge, the Village, Town Hall, and the Clubhouse presenting complimentary programming that animates the stories of Manitoba's winter.ENTERTAINMENTEnjoy a variety of entertainment with a program that changes every night! This will include live music, dramatic performances, interactive art projects, storytelling, physical activities, and food and beverages. Special events such as traveling exhibitions, culinary experiences, guest artists and dance parties will make each day unique! Artistic programming will prioritize diversity and inclusion through a powerful mix of artists from many different cultural backgrounds.
