Come prepared to discuss the book as a group and explore several works from the In Studio exhibition that relate to the narrative and more generally the theme of the artist's studio.Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides Middlesex is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel whose characters and events are loosely based on aspects of Eugenides' life and observations of his Greek heritage. The book centers on the pursuit of the American Dream and explores gender identity while offering allusions to Greek mythology, including creatures such as the Minotaur, half-man and half-bull, and the Chimera, a monster composed of various animal parts.
