Freeze Frame Film Festival 2011

2011 Freeze Frame International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages Freeze Frame is Manitoba’s Media Arts Centre for Young People. The centre offers educational and cultural media arts experiences to young people and holds the annual Winnipeg International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages. Each year Freeze Frame presents an award-winning collection of films made for children and young people from the all over the world. During the Festival audiences both young and old enjoy: •screenings of several feature films in 35 mm, and several collections of animated shorts and a couple of documentaries •Post-screening discussions with international, Canadian and local guest artists •Hands-on filmmaking workshops with those same guest artists Young people are invited to take an active role in watching and discussing films with their teachers and parents as well as through participation on the Freeze Frame Youth Jury. Jury members award a prize for Best Feature Film and Best Animated Short, meet the visiting guest artists, and participate in workshops. Passes: $20 unlimited screenings for one person and $35 unlimited screenings for up to five people .
