July 23, 2017 to October 1, 2017. The Winnipeg Art Gallery is celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary with ART EXPRESS'D/ART EXPRIMÉ, a coast-to-coast-to-coast adventure that will unite our vast country. Three 20-foot shipping containers transformed into mobile art studios will traverse every province and territory via train, truck, and cargo ship, stopping in 15 communities, ultimately converging in Winnipeg, the heart of the country. Three contemporary artists travelling one of the three routes—southward, eastward, and westward—will lead collaborative art-making projects inviting you to express your visions of Canada. A fourth art studio will be stationed at The Forks in Winnipeg all summer long featuring art activities for the public!.
