From revolutionary times through World War II the lives of Mennonites were torn apart in Russia. Many parents suffered dearly, often to death. Their faith in God, love and suffering should not be forgotten. We are offering you the opportunity to help this story be told by sponsoring the creation of a permanent tribute to all of the parents and guardians who brought children to Canada, especially those brave mothers who had already lost their husbands before fleeing. The important part that women played in this flight is often not stressed and this is a chance to do so. div.
